​ I have a teenage son and a 12 year old daughter. This book has helped me tremendously already. It is amazing how many conflicts can be avoided simply by realizing they are hungry or tired. Just make them a burrito first and then have the conversation. It's easy to go through H-A-L-T to avoid needless struggles. One of the key things I learned is that how I approach conversations is critical to the outcome. It is not all on the teen. I am going to be sharing this with some others that have teenagers as well. I can see how this would be helpful for both parents of good kids and difficult or rebellious kids.
